About the race
The race.
The Sooner Stampede takes place on September 13, 2026, at Clear Bay Trails in Norman, Oklahoma, as part of the Tour de Dirt mountain bike series. Three race categories start at staggered times: Kids Kup at 9:00 AM with laps of approximately one mile by age group; Cat 3 at 10:30 AM covering approximately 12 miles in 2 laps with divisions for Novice, Clydesdale, Juniors, and 60+; and Cat 1 and Cat 2 races starting at 12:00 PM and 12:10 PM respectively, covering approximately 24 miles and 18 miles. All racers require a one-time $25 season race plate with integrated timing chip, purchased separately from race registration. Final distances will be confirmed by August 2026.
