The race.
The Southern Oregon Runners Turkey Trot Run takes place on November 26, 2026, in Talent, Oregon, featuring four distances: an 8-mile run, 5K run/walk, 2-mile family run/walk, and a free turkey dash for children 8 and under. Events start between 8:00 and 8:40 a.m. from Cummins Park at 300 W Valley View Road. Registration costs $20 for members and $25 for non-members, with free entry for youth 18 and under and family pricing available. Packet pickup occurs November 25th from 3:30–8 p.m. at Legend Cider Co. Talent Taphouse or race morning from 7–8 a.m. All finishers receive a custom race bib and medal. Proceeds benefit the Southern Oregon University food bank and SOR Student Runners Programs, including Shoes for Kids, KidsRunFree, and the XC Project.
