The race.

The Southern Sundown 4 Miler takes place on August 15, 2026, in Lenoir, NC. The event includes a 4-mile main race, a 1-mile competitive run for children 12 and under, a half-mile kids fun run, and a 1-mile fun run option. Race day packet pickup runs from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. at Liquid Roots Brewing, with early pickup available Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Register by August 3 to guarantee t-shirt size. Awards include custom trophies and gift certificates for top overall finishers and age group winners (14 and under through 75+), plus medals for kids' race participants. All registered runners 21+ receive a Liquid Roots beer after finishing. A team challenge option is available with a $200 prize for the winning team's designated nonprofit.
