Spooky Sprint 5K 2026

The race.

The Spooky Sprint 5K takes place on October 24, 2026, in Roanoke, VA at Rivers Edge North Park. The 5K race starts at 9:00 AM, with costume contest and check-in beginning at 8:30 AM. Registration costs $35 through September 30, then $45 through October 25 (registration closes at 8:30 AM on race day); children ages 2–10 register for $20. Finishers receive medals, awarded for overall and age group placements. A costume contest features categories for best youth (ages 12 and under), teen (ages 13–17), adult, most creative/original, best Halloween spirit, and best pet costume, with prizes provided by Mast General Store. Race t-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while quantities last after October 1. Pets must be leashed during the event. The race proceeds rain or shine.
