The race.
The Spoonbread Festival 5K Run/Walk takes place Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Berea, Kentucky, featuring a flat, paved 5K course on the Berea City Trail with start and finish at the same location. Participants receive commemorative poly/cotton race shirts and chip timing with awards given across 5-year age groups from 0–9 through 70+. A 1-mile untimed walk and virtual race option are also available. Packet pickup occurs race morning from 7:30–8:45 a.m. at the Russell Acton Folk Center parking lot. The race benefits the Berea Chamber of Commerce.
