About the race
The race.
The Springfield Kids Triathlon on July 11, 2026, welcomes participants ages 6 to 15 in two distance categories: Micro Mini Tri and Mini Tri for younger competitors, plus Super Sprint Tri for ages 10 to 15. The swim portion uses the Nelson Center's 50-meter pool, while the bike course circles Lincoln Park and the run covers a grass field within the park. All finishers receive a medal, event t-shirt, and refreshments, with age group awards available. Online registration closes July 8 at 11:59 PM; no race-day registration is offered.
