The race.
SRC Presents: A Backyard Ultra takes place on December 12, 2026, in Hauppauge, NY. Participants run 4.167-mile loops on the hour; runners must complete each loop within the hour or are eliminated from competition. The final competitor able to finish a full loop wins. Bib pickup is available at Smithtown Running Company on December 10 (11 a.m.–7 p.m.) and December 11 (11 a.m.–5 p.m.), or race morning starting at 6:30 a.m. at the start/finish line. A portion of proceeds benefits the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference.
