The race.
St Helena Parish hosts a family-friendly running and walking event on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Hobbs, NM. Participants may choose a 3.1-mile run or 2-mile walk, with both starting at 7:30/7:35 a.m. from St Helena's parking lot. The flat, city-street course begins heading west on Bender Street with separate routes for runners and walkers. Pre-registration costs $30, or $40 on race day; registration opens at 6:45 a.m. All pre-registered participants receive t-shirts, and medals are awarded to top finishers in male and female categories across eight age divisions (14 and under through 70+). Post-race breakfast and door prizes are offered at the Bob Moran Building, followed by a family fair.
