The race.
The St. Vincent DePaul Run/Walk/Bike for the Poor takes place September 26, 2026, on the Heritage Trail in Dubuque, Iowa, a converted railroad bed running trail. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. at Heritage Pond on Rupp Hollow Road at Highway 3, with races starting at 10:00 a.m. Timed events include a 5 km and 5 mile run, while walking and biking participation is also available with the possibility of winning prizes. Entry is $30 for all participants. Over $300 in prizes will be awarded, with bikers donating above the entry fee eligible for prize drawings. Proceeds benefit St. Vincent DePaul's local assistance programs.
