Step Up Half Marathon, Relay & 5k 2026

The race.

The Step Up Half Marathon, Relay & 5K takes place September 5, 2026, in Storm Lake, Iowa. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles on a USATF-certified course that follows the shoreline of Storm Lake; the 5K loops through the area near King's Pointe beach. Both events start at King's Pointe Resort: the half marathon and relay at 7:00 a.m., the 5K at 8:00 a.m., with finishes at Awaysis Park. Half marathon relay options include two-person or four-person teams, with runners coordinating their own distance splits. All runners receive a finisher medal and t-shirt (t-shirts guaranteed only for registrations received by August 22, 2026). Water and Gatorade stations, snacks, and refreshments are provided at the finish. Packet pickup is Friday, September 4, from 4:30–7:30 p.m. or Saturday morning from 6:00–7:00 a.m. at King's Pointe Resort.
