Steps Toward a Cure: Michigan is a 5K run held September 12, 2026, at Kensington Metropark in Milford, Michigan, benefiting the Dravet Syndrome Foundation. The event includes a kids fun run starting at 9:15 a.m. and a 1-mile family walk starting at 10:00 a.m., with the 5K beginning at 9:00 a.m. All participants receive an event t-shirt; 5K participants also receive a medal. Refreshments include bagels, coffee, and lunch. Children with Dravet syndrome or epilepsy register free with a paying adult. Registration closes August 11 to guarantee a t-shirt. Adult walkers are $35; kids ages 3–17 are $20. Packet pickup occurs onsite the morning of the event starting at 8:00 a.m.
