The race.
On July 4, 2026, Struthers School Foundation and Pizza Joe's host a 5K race and kids fun run in Struthers, Ohio. The 5K begins at 11:00 a.m. from the corner of 5th Street and Rita Drive, following the parade route for 3.1 miles with chip timing by GCXC Racing. The Kristy Taaffe Kids Fun Run, for children ages 4 and up, covers 805 meters starting at 11:45 a.m. from the same location. Registration costs $25 for the 5K and $15 for the kids run; enrolled Struthers City School students receive free entry when registering at the Board of Education Office by June 30. Participants who register before July 1 receive a shirt, and kids fun run participants receive medals. Pizza is provided for all participants after the races.
