Summer Meltdown Half Marathon - Dallas 2026

The race.

The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon takes place on August 8, 2026, at Sam Houston Trail Park in Irving, TX, with a 7 AM start. Five distances are offered: a 20-yard Kids Dash for ages 10 and under, a 1-mile course, a 3.11-mile 5K, a 6.55-mile Quarter Marathon, and a 13.1-mile Half Marathon. The Kids Dash is untimed and includes a shirt, medal, and recognition pin. The 1-mile race is untimed and includes a shirt and medal. The 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon are chip-timed and feature overall trophies for first-place finishers, master's category pins for ages 40+, and age-group awards (gold, silver, bronze pins) across multiple age categories. All finishers receive medals and shirts. Post-race refreshments and treats from Kona Ice are available. Aid stations are positioned along the course.
