Tails & Trails 5K 2026

The race.

The Tails & Trails 5K takes place on August 16, 2026, in Clarkston, Michigan. The 5K race starts at 10:30 a.m. and runs along Independence Oaks' trails. A Cat Walk 1K begins at 10 a.m., with both events welcoming dogs and cats on a 6-foot leash (current license required). The event is open to walkers and runners of all ages and includes a family fun zone with local animal vendors. Proceeds benefit Great Lakes Dog Rescue and Teachers Pet, a 501(c)(3) organization providing animal-assisted interventions for at-risk youth.
