Tanker Trot 2026

The race.

The Tanker Trot takes place on October 24, 2026, at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas, offering 5K and 10K distances with separate youth categories for runners 17 and under. The 5K race begins at 9:30 AM on the Airshow Ramp with a one-hour time limit. All finishers receive a long-sleeve event shirt and medal, with age-group awards for top finishers in seven categories and overall awards including Airshow-branded water bottles. Participants gain access to the base Airshow through an expedited lane until 11:00 AM following the race. Registration is limited to 500 runners with no day-of registration accepted due to military base access requirements. Water is available only at the finish line; no water stations are permitted on the course.
