Tater Trot 5K 2026

The Colorado Potato Festival kicks off on Saturday, September 12, 2026 , at Chapman Park in Monte Vista, and we’re starting strong with the annual Tater Trot 5K Walk & Run at 8:30 AM !

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just in it for the fun, this course is for all ages and fitness levels. It’s a great way to move your body, connect with neighbors, and be part of something that truly matters.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, CPAC, SLV Health, Farm Fresh Direct, and the City of Monte Vista! The Tater Trot has already raised over $40,000 for the Pediatric Diabetes Fund through continued support of this meaningful cause. That means real assistance for local families facing the daily challenges of Type 1 Diabetes. This year, we’re going even bigger, and we want you with us.
