The race.
The 2026 Chase Away 5K takes place September 27 at Veterans Memorial Park in South Burlington, Vermont, benefiting Chase Away K9 Cancer. Participants can choose between a 3.1-mile or 1.5-mile distance. The in-person event begins at 9:00 a.m., with check-in and same-day registration starting at 8:00 a.m. A virtual option is available for those unable to attend in person. Registration by August 22 includes an event tee with the option to have a dog's name printed on the back; additional tees may be available for purchase after the deadline. Race packets and bibs are distributed a few days before the event via pickup or shipping.
