About the race
The race.
The Big Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, in Richmond, VA, benefiting Little Hands Virginia. Participants can choose from a 5K, 1-mile Gobble Wobble, or Baby Bobble (infant crawling race), with a Virtual 5K option also available. The event starts and finishes at St. Joseph's Villa on a flat course. A community partner expo operates before and after the races, with music and costume elements featured throughout. Participants are encouraged to form fundraising teams, with all proceeds supporting Little Hands Virginia's programs for young children.
