The Choose Joy for Melina 5K takes place on September 13, 2026, in Canfield, Ohio, benefiting pediatric brain tumor research through the Melina Michelle Edenfield Foundation. The in-person 5K starts at 3:30 p.m. at Canfield High School, with packet pickup and race day registration from 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. A free kids' fun run for ages 8 and under runs one lap on the track at 5:00 p.m. A virtual 5K option runs from September 13 through October 13, with packets available for $10 shipping or in-person pickup on September 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hampton Inn Canfield. A free Choose Joy Day celebration runs from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for all participants and guests. Participant t-shirts are guaranteed only through August 27, 2026.
