The race.

The Dog Days of Summer Trail Race takes place August 15-16, 2026, in Grandview, Tennessee, benefiting Flying Pigs Animal Sanctuary. Runners choose from four race formats: The Feral Dog (24-hour), The Night Howl (12-hour night race), Mini Night Howl (3-hour night race), and The Pampered Pooch (1-hour sunrise race). All races use looped trail courses starting and finishing at a central aid station. The event includes water, electrolytes, and food at the aid station, plus Barkley-style trail names awarded at certain milestones. All race proceeds support animal rescue efforts in rural Tennessee.
