About the race

The race.

The Fairfield Police Sunset 5K, presented by Moneco Advisors, takes place July 15, 2026, in Fairfield, Connecticut. Participants can run or walk a 3.1-mile chip-timed course starting on Fairfield Beach Road and finishing at Jennings Beach, or walk an untimed 0.8-mile course. Registration costs $35–$45 for the 5K depending on registration sequence, and $35 for the walking option. All participants receive t-shirts and access to food trucks, refreshments, and beverages. Age group awards are available for 5K finishers who complete the full distance. All race proceeds benefit the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund and the Fairfield Police Foundation. Attendees are invited to donate new white socks, which will be distributed to Nourish Bridgeport to support food and resource insecurity programs. Early bib and shirt pickup occurs July 13 at Marathon Sports.
