The Final Countdown takes place September 19, 2026, in Martinsburg, WV, hosted by 2 Lowe Run Company. Runners complete a 1.33-mile loop on grass trails at Amani Brewery property. The race format requires all participants to start each lap together and finish within a countdown timer that decreases by 20 seconds each lap, beginning at 20 minutes for the first lap. Participants who complete a lap before the timer reaches zero may rest and refuel before the next countdown begins; those who fail to finish a lap before time expires are eliminated. The event continues until only one runner remains in competition.
