The race.
The Grant Heffelfinger Memorial Big Gay 5K takes place on September 27, 2026, at Veterans Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, honoring Grant Heffelfinger. The 5K run/walk begins at 10:00 AM with registration opening at 9:00 AM. Early registration closes August 7 and costs $35; general registration continues through race day at 9:00 AM for $45. Early registrants receive guaranteed t-shirts available for pickup on race day; t-shirts are not guaranteed for general registrants. Team registration discounts apply for groups of four or more. The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
