The Great Masked Pumpkin Race 2026

The race.

The Great Masked Pumpkin Race takes place on October 17, 2026, at Riverfront Park in Billings, MT. Participants choose from 1-mile, 2-mile, or 3-mile courses, with separate divisions for runners 13 and under. The 3-mile race starts at 11:30 a.m., followed by the 2-mile at 11:40 a.m. and 1-mile at 11:45 a.m. This is an untimed event where runners pick up a pumpkin a quarter-mile from the finish line and carry it to the finish; participants keep their pumpkins. Packet pickup occurs race day from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Riverfront Park. Registration includes race swag, one pumpkin per participant, and entry into giveaways. Costume prizes are awarded for best individual and family costumes. Children 5 and under are free and do not require registration. Race day registration is available if the event has not reached its 350-racer capacity limit.
