About the race
The race.
The Great Mud Escape takes place on September 19, 2026, in Warren, Rhode Island, featuring a 1-mile obstacle course with mud pits benefiting Thrive Outside. Participants can register for the adult course (age 13+), child course (age 5–12), or attend as a spectator; children ages 0–4 are free with a signed waiver. Event waves begin at 11 a.m. with departures every 5 minutes, and participants should check in 30 minutes before their wave time. Amenities include Del's Frozen Lemonade, a kids' bubble and play zone with free registration, music by DJ Scotty, and SunBum Sunscreen giveaways. Registration prices range from $20 to $40 depending on age group and registration deadline, with family four-packs available for $110 if registered by August 31.
