The race.
The Great TFG 5K Balloon Chase takes place on August 30, 2026, in Presque Isle, Maine. Same-day registration runs from 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM, with the 5K race starting at 6:15 AM. The course begins at the launch field, proceeds toward NMCC, loops around, and returns to the fairgrounds. The first 100 registered participants receive a complimentary t-shirt. The event runs regardless of weather conditions.
