The mission of The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation is to reduce traffic incidents by implementing prevention and intervention programs that assist the community, increase traffic education, and emphasize personal accountability for the decisions we make every day.
The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation was established by the DeMott family in 2016 to honor the life and legacy of Keri Anne DeMott, who was tragically killed by a multiple DUI offender while driving home on October 10, 2015. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, the foundation works toward a future free from drunk, impaired, and distracted driving while encouraging individuals to recognize that every decision—both behind the wheel and in everyday life—has the power to impact others.
This year, our annual 5K/10K has special significance as it is being held in conjunction with the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. This internationally recognized day honors those who have lost their lives or been seriously injured in road traffic crashes, supports the families forever changed by these tragedies, and recognizes the dedication of first responders, law enforcement, medical professionals, and advocates who work tirelessly to save lives and improve road safety.
By participating in this event, you are doing more than crossing a finish line—you are honoring the memories of loved ones, supporting victims and survivors, and funding programs that educate our community and inspire safer choices.
The event features professionally timed 5K and 10K races, with awards presented to the top overall male and female finishers and top age group winners. We are also proud to bring back the First Responders Cup, awarded to the largest registered first responder agency, recognizing those who dedicate their lives to serving our communities.
The first 100 registered participants will be guaranteed a commemorative race medal, so don't wait to register!
Whether you're running in memory of someone you love, supporting a meaningful cause, or simply challenging yourself, we invite you to join us for a morning of remembrance, hope, and community as we work together to make our roads safer for everyone.
