The Lucky Dog Race for Recovery 5K takes place October 3, 2026, in Kennesaw, Georgia, at Central Rock Gym (2801 George Busbee Parkway). Check-in and packet pickup begin at 7:00 a.m., with the 5K starting at 8:00 a.m. and an awards ceremony at 9:00 a.m. The chip-timed event benefits The Extension Alumni, which supports individuals rebuilding their lives from homelessness and substance abuse. Overall awards go to the top 3 men and top 3 women by gun time, while age group awards span from 12 & under through 70 & older by chip time. Event shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by September 5; later registrations receive shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. Strollers and dogs are welcome.
