The Next Loop Endurance Series at Tyler State Park features a 3.1-mile trail loop starting on the hour, every hour. Participants choose whether to run another loop after each completion, with no penalties for stopping—only completed loops are scored and counted. The course is marked and based at a central start/finish area with an aid station available each hour. A single loop equals a 5K; four loops equal a half marathon; nine loops equal a marathon. Official timing is recorded for every completed loop, and results are ranked by loops finished and combined time. This format accommodates runners training for any distance, from first-time 10K participants to ultra runners.
