The race.
The Opening Act 5K Run & Walk takes place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana. The 5K starts at 10:30 AM on Monon Boulevard at MidTown, running north on the Monon Trail, west toward Meadowlark Park, south to City Center Drive, and returning north to the finish at MidTown. Finishers receive medals and an event shirt, with age group awards presented. Post-race refreshments and music are available at the MidTown location. Proceeds benefit local animal rescues.
