The race.

The Palmer Lake .5K takes place October 18, 2026, in Palmer Lake, Colorado, featuring multiple distance options including a standard .5K, dog participant, child (under 12), and virtual run categories. The race starts at 10:30 AM with registration available through October 8 at 4 PM to guarantee t-shirt sizing. All participants receive a race t-shirt, Euro-style bumper sticker, donut, and either beer or root beer at the finish; dog participants receive a custom bandanna and dog treat instead. Awards are given for best outfit, best costume, and best attitude. Early bird pricing is $25 for adults, $20 for children, and $15 for dogs, with prices increasing monthly. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit Awake Palmer Lake, which supports local parks, trails, and lake improvements.
