The Piggyback Dash 10K, 5K, 2K 2026

The race.

The Piggyback Dash takes place September 26, 2026, in Union, Missouri, featuring a 10K (6.2 miles), 5K (3.1 miles), 2K (1.2 miles), and 1-mile distance option. The 10K and 5K start simultaneously; the 5K follows a single loop course while 10K runners complete an additional 3-mile loop through Union streets, culminating at the top of Autumn Hill. The 2K fun run/walk is untimed. Aid stations support the longer distances, and post-race refreshments are provided for all participants. The 10K and 5K are chip-timed with medals awarded; the 2K receives no timing or medals. Runners finishing the 10K or 5K may optionally carry someone piggyback up Autumn Hill for extra finisher swag. All proceeds benefit The Lance Purschke Memorial Scholarship Fund. Early-bird registration runs February 24–March 5, 2026; standard registration March 6–August 31; late registration September 1 through race day (online closes September 23). Registrations after August 31 are not guaranteed a shirt.
