About the race
The race.
The Retro Run takes place September 27, 2026, at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, offering 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and 10-mile distances. The Half Marathon and 10-mile start at 7:00am, with the 5K and 10K starting at 7:30am; the course closes at 10:20am. All races follow out-and-back routes on the beach path with two water stations and marked turns. Bib pickup occurs Saturday 1–3pm at Sports Basement Long Beach or Sunday morning starting at 6:20am at the start location. All finishers receive a medal, with additional awards for first-place overall finishers by gender in each distance. Race photos and results are provided free via email the following day and posted to Instagram.
