THE ROOTED HALF MARATHON & 5K 2026

The race.

The Rooted Half Marathon & 5K takes place on September 27, 2026, in Lake Orion, Michigan, at Orion Oaks County Park. The event offers a half marathon and 5K distance, with a separate 5K Doggie Division option for runners with leashed dogs. Race day begins at 7:30 AM with onsite registration and packet pickup, followed by the half marathon start at 9:00 AM and 5K start at 9:15 AM. Finishers receive choice of a crewneck sweatshirt or trucker hat; the 5K Doggie Division receives a custom bandana and dog biscuit. The event benefits Great Lakes Dog Rescue and J & J Furry Friends Foundation, with 100% of donations directed to these charities. Virtual participation options are available with the same swag included.
