The race.

The Shimmy in Shickshinny offers half-marathon and quarter-marathon distances on August 8, 2026, in Shickshinny, PA. The half-marathon starts at 8:00 AM and the quarter-marathon at 8:15 AM, both beginning at 100 N. Susquehanna Ave. The out-and-back course follows the hard-packed Susquehanna Warrior Trail along the Susquehanna River's west bank with minimal elevation change and 90% shade coverage. Half-marathon registration costs $50–$65 depending on deadline; quarter-marathon costs $30–$45. All finishers receive a race t-shirt and unique medal; top three overall and age-group winners (14 and under through 70+) earn plaques. Water stations are located roughly every 2 miles, porta-potties at the start and along the course, and packet pickup opens at 6:30 AM on race day. A portion of proceeds and all donations support the Susquehanna Warrior Trail.
