The Wurst Race 2026

The race.

The Wurst Race is a 3.1-mile out-and-back 5K held on August 15, 2026, in Evansville, IN, starting at 7:30 AM from Germania Maennerchor (916 N. Fulton Ave). The course follows Maryland Street to the Greenway Passage and returns to the start/finish location. Race-day check-in runs from 6:45–7:15 AM. Early packet pickup is available August 14 from 5–6 PM at Ultimate Fit, with late registration also available then. Awards are given to the top 3 overall finishers by gender and top 4 finishers by gender in eight age groups (19 & under through 80+). Finishers receive a race shirt (youth shirts available upon request) and complimentary beer (limit 2 per person 21+, ID required), brats, and water. Entry is $35 through August 1 and $40 through race day; a $5 discount applies with the VET5 code for veterans and active military. Group registrations of 4+ are eligible for discount codes. Proceeds benefit Germania Maennerchor.
