The race.
The Thin Mint Sprint 2026 takes place September 12 in Fox River Grove, IL at Lions Park, with race check-in opening at 7:45 a.m. and the race beginning at 8:30 a.m. Participants can choose from a timed 5K, 8K, 1-mile run/walk, 2-mile run, or 2-mile walk. Registration fees range from $40 (early bird through August 14) to $50 (race day), and include a race shirt, medal, patch, Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies, and additional race items. Packet pickup occurs during race check-in on September 12, with virtual runner packets mailed upon contact. The race benefits Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois financial assistance programs. An after-party follows immediately after the race until noon.
