The race.
The 47th Elizabeth River Run, held September 13, 2026, in Portsmouth, VA, features a 10K on a certified, flat course through downtown streets and along the seawall, starting and finishing at the pavilion. Entry fees range from $35 (early bird through March 21) to $65 (race day). Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 750 runners. Awards include prize money for top 3 overall and masters finishers, with additional age-group and walker categories. Finishers receive medals. A post-race party at the pavilion offers craft beer, food, live music, and vendors. Advance packet pickup is available September 11–12; race day pickup serves out-of-town participants.
