The race.
The Tidewater Striders Scholarship 5K & Kids Mile takes place July 28, 2026, at Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, VA. The kids mile starts at 6:00 p.m. and the 5K begins at 6:30 p.m. The 5K course starts in front of the Sportsplex, loops the parking lot, follows the trail behind the facility, and finishes inside the Sportsplex. Pre-race packet pickup is available July 27 from 3–5 p.m. at Running etc VB. Race-day registration includes options for a race shirt and raffle tickets; shirt registration closes July 7. An after-party with beer, pizza, and non-alcoholic beverages is held inside the Sportsplex, featuring a raffle with over $10,000 in prizes.
