The race.

Tour de Zoo is an evening bike ride through Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek, Michigan, on August 14, 2026. Participants bike the zoo course at their own pace from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, with registration and check-in from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The 2.5-mile course includes asphalt, brick, boardwalk, crushed rock, and grass surfaces with hills, turns, and flat sections. Registration costs $50 through August 8 or $60 for late registration through August 14; all participants receive event swag, an activity token, and one free New Belgium Brewing beer (or non-alcoholic option). The course terrain is rough and changing, so participants must bring their own bikes and Class 1 e-bikes are permitted; helmets are strongly encouraged and required for youth. An after-party runs from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM with games, raffles, and prizes. Optional costume and bike decorating contests offer prizes of zoo admission or membership. Funds support Binder Park Zoo's conservation programs.
