The Trail to Recovery 5K and 1-mile walk takes place August 9, 2026, at Ernst Bike Trail Bean's Trailhead in Meadville, PA, benefiting the Crawford County Drug & Alcohol Executive Commission's recovery programs and awareness initiatives. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. on race day at the parking lot near the start/finish line; the 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. and the 1-mile walk at approximately 9:15 a.m. The course follows an out-and-back route on the Ernst Bike Trail. Race entry costs $25 before July 23, 2026, or $30 on race day (cash only). Five-year-old children and younger run free with a registered parent or guardian. Participants registering by July 22 receive a T-shirt. Awards include top male and female honors plus top-three finishes in age groups spanning ten years (under 19 through over 70); winners are announced around 10:00 a.m. Water stations are located at the start/finish and the 5K turnaround. The event accepts pets on-leash per trail rules.
