Tri the Parks presents an intermediate distance event on July 11, 2026, in Elberton, GA, featuring three race formats: a triathlon with a 1,500-meter swim, 29-mile bike, and 6.2-mile run; a duathlon with a 3.1-mile run, 29-mile bike, and 6.2-mile run; and an aquabike combining the 1,500-meter swim and 29-mile bike. The swim takes place in Richard B Russell State Park with a time trial start every 5 seconds, the bike follows paved county roads on an out-and-back loop marked with directional signs and mile markers, and the run uses park trails and roads with water stations at each mile. Race day registration opens at 5:30 a.m. with a 5:30 a.m. cutoff, check-in runs until 7:00 a.m., and racing begins at 7:30 a.m., with awards at 11:00 a.m. The field limit is 350 participants; t-shirts are guaranteed only for registrations through June 27. Swim caps are provided and assigned by cap color for start positioning.
