Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Central NY 2026

The race.

The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk takes place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Utica, NY, honoring those lost on September 11, 2001. The 5K course begins at the Utica 9/11 Memorial at Sherman Drive and The Parkway, proceeding westbound over the Parkway to Oneida Street, then northbound on Oneida Street to Genesee Street, finishing downtown. The race starts at 9:11 a.m., with opening ceremonies beginning at 8:30 a.m. Packet pickup is available Friday, August 14, from 3–7 p.m. and Saturday, August 16, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at The Sneaker Store in New Hartford, or on race day starting at 7:30 a.m. at the finish line. A closing ceremony with awards begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, and children's activities throughout the day.
