The race.

The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Jackson, MS on September 12, 2026, honors firefighter Stephen Siller and all those lost on September 11, 2001, while supporting first responders and military personnel. Participants can run or walk the 5K distance (3.1 miles). Packet pickup begins at 7 a.m. on race day, with early pickup potentially available on Friday, September 11th. Online registration remains open through the start of the event, with a $5 late registration fee on race day; those registering before August 24th receive a guaranteed finisher t-shirt, while later registrants receive one as supplies last. The event is timed, with water stations along the route and at the start/finish line. All finishers receive a commemorative coin for the event's fifth anniversary in Jackson.
