The race.
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk takes place on August 29, 2026, in Portland, ME. Participants may run or walk the 5K distance (3.1 miles). The event benefits the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and honors first responders and military personnel. Packet pickup occurs at Amethyst Lot Park on race day, with an additional early pickup date to be announced. The course is timed, water stations are provided along the route and at the start/finish, and participants of all ages are welcome. Strollers, wheelchairs, and backpacks are permitted; bibs must be worn and displayed on the front of your outermost garment.
