The race.

The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk takes place November 14, 2026, in Sacramento, CA, honoring first responders and military members. Participants run or walk 5K (3.1 miles) on a marked course consisting of 2 laps, with the start/finish line located near Freeport Boulevard and 14th Avenue. Online registration remains open until race start, with an early registration deadline of October 26, 2026, for guaranteed event t-shirts. Packet pickup is available November 12 from 11am–6pm at Sacramento Running Company, or same-day registration is permitted. The timed event includes water stations along the route, and strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Faster runners predicting a sub-6-minute/mile pace will be seeded at the front if they arrive early.
