The race.
The Tunnel to Towers Climb in Albany takes place September 20, 2026, at Corning Tower in Empire State Plaza. Participants climb 809 steps across 42 floors, with optional bailout points at floors 10, 20, and 31. The event begins with an opening ceremony at 8:00 a.m., with elite climbers starting between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. Packet pickup with bib and t-shirt occurs on race day at the Corning Tower Concourse. Entry is limited to 500 participants. The climb is timed, and medical assistance is available on-site. Water stations are positioned throughout the stairwell.
