Turkey Strut 5K 2026

The race.

The Turkey Strut 5K takes place November 26, 2026, at Winston-Salem Fairgrounds in Winston-Salem, NC, featuring a 3.1-mile chip-timed 5K and a 1-mile untimed fun run/walk. Both distances are open to runners and walkers; the 5K course is USATF certified. Participants can compete in-person or virtually (with a submission window through the following Sunday). Packet pickup occurs Wednesday prior, with shirt and medal mailing available as an add-on. The 5K awards turkeys to the top 3 overall and top 3 masters finishers in each gender; all 5K participants receive long-sleeve shirts and finisher medals, while 1-mile participants may purchase shirts. Proceeds benefit We Care House of Winston-Salem; participants are encouraged to bring canned food donations, particularly breakfast items.
