Turkey Trot for a Cure 5K Walk/Run for Alzheimer's 2026

November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness month, and for the past 15 years, we have kicked it off with a 5K Walk/Run to raise awareness and support for Alzheimer's in our community.

This year, join us for the 16th annual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run!

When: Saturday, November 7, 2026 Where: Morehead Conference Center Race Time: 9:00 AM (New Start Time in 2026!)

We hope you can join us for a fun morning, including a silent auction, health fair, refreshments, and education on Alzheimer's Disease.A more detailed agenda will be posted soon!

This special event raises awareness for Alzheimer’s disease, with all proceeds benefiting the Sisters of Notre Dame Eastern Kentucky Foundation Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Fund. Every dollar stays right here in our service region to support local families and caregivers.

Don’t want to walk or run? You can still make an impact:

Donate directly to the cause. Contribute an item to the silent auction. Share a photo of a loved one to be honored in our slideshow presentation. Volunteer – we need extra hands this year! Local businesses can sponsor the event and have their logo featured on the back of our race shirts!

This year's race packets will include a commemorative shirt and race bib. Check back here closer to the race date for packet pickup details.
