Vacation Isle 2026

The race.

This sprint orienteering event takes place July 18, 2026, on Vacation Isle in San Diego, with courses set at 1:4000 scale featuring 2.5-meter contours. Participants choose from Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced courses and select either a 10–11 a.m. or 11 a.m.–noon start window, with a one-hour time limit and electronic punching required. Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for juniors, with a $5 early-bird discount through June 27; registration closes July 17 at 10 a.m. or at 100 participants (50 per start window). An introductory clinic runs at 9:45 a.m., and electronic punch rentals are available for $5. All participants must check in by 1 p.m. at headquarters (32°46'20.9"N 117°14'02.6"W) before leaving the course.
